Sun salutation is one of the first things I was taught in yoga; composed of 12 different poses all of which are beginner friendly. It is a great way to get your blood flowing and energy going in the morning. It is not worship of the sun but a greeting of it and the new day it brings. Hold each pose for a minimum of 20 seconds and with each practice you will feel yourself stretching further and reaching higher! It burns calories and benefits your body in ways a cup of coffee never could.
